Belgium has been fining cruisers with traces of red diesel in their tanks despite having VAT paid receipts. This has now been suspended pending pan-European consideration of the issue in September 2017. In the meantime, it is wise to print our and have a copy of the letter stating that the fines have been suspended pending EU decision.
