Hi Everyone,
We have four berths left for our last and final 2018 Indian Ocean crossing! We leave La Reunion April 5, 2018, spend a week or so in Chagos Archipelago (BIOT) and conclude the trip in Phuket, Thailand, aboard our flagship vessel, Indigo V -- a Nautor Swan 61. Crew will have an opportunity to blend science with sailing by doing coral reef surveys in Chagos, assist the onboard documentary film crew, take plankton samples, and help build on our ocean health baseline established in 2013.
About us: Indigo V Expeditions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to better understanding and preserving ocean health. We pioneered citizen sailing oceanography as a way to crowdsource vital ocean plankton data. Since our inception, our citizen sailing oceanographers have collected over 600 ocean samples, and we have presented our work at The White House and United Nations and numerous international conferences.
