Today our anchor winch motor burnt out. About a month ago it ceased working in Curacao. It looked like a brush was sticking. We had it repaired. Today, in Aruba, it stopped working again. When it was taken apart it looked like this.
The repair shop suggested that the "burning" was due to too little voltage at the motor. I suspect that the brush - which you can see is once again stuck - is the culprit. I would appreciate a second, and indeed a third opinion.
Thank you Neill
