Have you fallen off?

There are many discussions about how to stay aboard and what to do regarding Man Overboard Drills...

Has anyone here actually fallen off their boat - and then been retrieved by the remaining crew aboard their own boat?

Would love to hear what happened, the conditions, how you got back aboard, how long you were in the water... ?? Lessons learned?

Bill, in a way, I am glad no one answered you, which means no one reading the forum has actually gone overboard I guess. There is a story by Tony Gooch associated with the Best Practices in Heavy Weather Sailing thread. That one ends well, but this new account does not. This is why jacklines should be positioned as high a possible to avoid going overboard at all cost.
