I 'm thinking about leaving my boat, a 36 foot sloop, in Antigua when I finish cruising for next Winter. I 'll be coming up from St Lucia, and have Guadaloupe also in mind as a possible place to leave her. Cost is a determining factor. All I need is a secure berth afloat or on the hard. Any advice or suggestions welcomed.

Yesterday we flew back from Antigua having left our 38 foot sailboat 'Alacazam ' laid-up ashore in Jolly Harbour Marina. JHM have a secure fenced and gated yard for long term storage, and the concrete slab is equipped with hurricane tie-down points for strapping down the boat. Cradles and stands (welded together) are available which keeps Alacazam 's insurers happy. We have experienced no problems with JHM 's facility, and find their staff friendly and efficient.

Hi Dick:
I have looked at the rate sheet but an actual figure paid by someone with a similar boat is much easier to go on.
