Help. Does anybody out there advise on whether it is a good idea or not to fit a non return valve onto my fuel breather system. I am thinking of doing this to stop the possibility of water getting into my fuel tanks during a brooch etc. As my breather is close to the center of the yacht the probability is low but fitting a non return valve costs very little and gives added protection. Clearly lifeboats have this. John.
