Anyone contemplating entering Knysna Lagoon, South Africa can see what this was like for Rob and myself when we sailed Stamper there December 2015.
We had 30kt wind and choppy conditions. Telephoning ahead we were assured inside the lagoon conditions were perfect and calm. From Port Elizabeth we calculated our speed, distance and arrival time to arrive at 12 noon, high tide. For us, conditions were perfect, thankfully. Angels on our shoulders this day.

We have been out on our push bikes exploring today. I have to say making the effort to get here is well worth it. Finally a place free of coal dust, places to eat and drink, walk, cycle swim, explore . . . all before 6pm or before dark. The safety common sense still applies!
