Tony,
We are considering Cartagena as a possibility for next winter. However, in Noonsite, I believe, it was mentioned that there is winter chop in the harbor and you must use springs.
Have you found this to be true? We are 16m/52 ft.

Tony, As you approach the Balearics and the same for the Costa Brava, you 'll find your nightly marina fee a bit of a shock, between 60 and 100 euros....in July and August you just will not get a nightly berth unless you book ahead, be warned.
We 've stopped at a lot of the places you mention but our stop was for free as we anchor. David Blackburn

WE spent this winter in Cartagena and can thoroughly recommend it. The eastern end of the Yacht Port (YPC), where there are finger pontoons, is said to get lumpy but it did not happen significantly this year. The western part is reasonably protected by the cruise ship dock.
