There seems to be some discretion whether VAT paid EU-flagged boats need to pay VAT again, when they return more than three years after they left EU waters. To get a picture of what is really happening I would like to know if any boats had to pay VAT a second time and at which EU clearing port. Also if boats did not have problems.
