OCC Member Tom Partridge has written an article for Yachting Monthly in which he describes what happened to the boats moored, anchored or hauled during Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu in 2015. He also provides 20 Tips for Surviving Strong Winds. Yachting Monthly has kindly made the article available as free content here: http://www.yachtingmonthly.com/sailing-skills/what-all-sailors-can-learn-from-cyclone-pam-31135

If you cannot access it there, we have also posted the article as a reprint in pdf format.

Does anyone else have experience surviving hurricane or cyclone force winds? Please share your experience here and we will endeavor to compile all into an OCC Best Practices paper.
