There is apparently a steep anchoring tax being applied in Corsica which may be extended to all French waters. Does anyone have insights or further information?

We did a circuit of Corsica in June & July. No one mentioned any anchoring tax. I did see an article in a Britanny newspaper some months ago which referred to the possible imposition of such a tax and stating that the idea had been withdrawn. Tony Boas.
