As of January 1, anchoring will no longer be permitted within 1000 ft of any structures except in new designated anchorages near marinas. In addition, certain marine sanitation devices will have to be locked and discharge prohibited within 3 miles of shore.

This is now a criminal penalty in the state of Georgia, so it is not a simple ticket and fine, but a misdemeanor arrest with possible jail time of 12 months.
