West Marine issued a “Specification Notice” in 2011 which indicated that for a period of time in 2010 there was a discrepancy between the product being manufactured and the specifications on the Rocna website. They invited customers to review the information on the Rocna website, and then decide whether they were satisfied with the product. If they were not satisfied, customers had the option of returning the product for a refund or exchange if they wished. It was not a recall but a notification of discrepancy between what is stated and what is delivered.
