National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (or NOAA’s) Office of Coast Survey has drafted a plan for the future of coastal navigation. They are interested in hearing what you think.Public comment is requested prior to June 1, 2017. Jeff Siegel of Active Captain has apparently recommended that NOAA get out of recreational chart management altogether. you can read a blog posting about that here.

The plan and comment can be found in the Federal Register online here. https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2017/03/01/2017-03936/release-of-the-draft-national-charting-plan
