January 2019 we were able to clear into Puerto Obladia

Anchored in 10 meters of thick mud - good holding.
Cleared in with Customs, Immigration and received our Panamian cruising permit total cost $109 US All officials were friendly and help but slow - it took us over 2 hours to clear in. Note that all persons on board had to go ashore and because of the conditions in the anchorage we did not want to leave the boat unattended so took turns doing ashore.

Approaching land there was a fair wind and long swells of 4-5 meters from the north. In the anchorage there was a +1 meter swell coming directly in. This made getting into the dinghy and ashore onto the tractor tires on the rough concrete dock very interesting to say the least. One would definitely not want to remain there over night. Thankfully there is a secure anchorage on the Columbian side and two good anchorages in a reasonable distance to the west.
