Update about entry into the Bailiwick of Guernsey (Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm):
Until the end of this coming week, LNTM 013/2021 (http://www.harbours.gg/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=137404&p=0) which begins ‘Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in mainland Europe and the UK the Visitor’s Moorings in Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm are closed to all vessels from outside of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. St Peter Port will only accept visiting vessels from outside of the Bailiwick if there is an urgent requirement to do so.’ is still in force.
However, from 14 May the island will open up to visiting yachtsmen – see LNTM 021/2021 (http://www.harbours.gg/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=139260&p=0) which tells local yachtsmen that from 14 May the Swan Pontoons in St Peter Port Harbour will only be available for arriving yachts from outside the Bailiwick.
Full details about arriving in the Bailiwick of Guernsey as a private yachtsman can be found at:
https://covid19.gov.gg/guidance/travel (generic travel)
https://covid19.gov.gg/guidance/travel/private (private travel by air or sea with many links to important information for new arrivals and specifically yacht arrivals)

Should you publish this information, it’s worth being clear that the regulations above apply only to the Bailiwick of Guernsey (Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm) and that regulations for entry to Jersey are set by the Government of Jersey and are different. We often find that people believe that the Channel Islands are governed as one whole which is not the case, hence the different regulations.

I hope that this helps with the OCC’s database on Covid-19 regulations and cruising.

All the best,

Nicky
