Especially important, but seldom used, knowledge is often overlooked and forgotten in everyday life, but that knowledge can also benefit from regular reminders and review: this material can be easily found in our “reading” room: the head.
Things like fire procedures, instructions for firing-off flares, thru-hull locations, etc., get laminated and live in a wall folder/holder in the head where these important reminders are far more likely to actually get read and re-read and find a place in one’s memory.
